Welcome to the Registry of Deeds
The Registry of Deeds is the recording office of all land transactions in the Greater New Bedford area of Bristol County including Acushnet, Dartmouth, Fairhaven, New Bedford and Westport. We are also a research library for recorded land transactions. Our records, some of which are copies from when there was only one county registry date back to 1687.

Recorded instruments
Deeds, easements, liens, mortgages, special permits, orders of condition, releases, attachments and plot plans are all recorded in our office.
